Session 1

The book of Revelation is a special book offering a special blessing to those who not only read it, but who pursue obedience by faith to the one who is at the very center of the book. Revelation 1:3, “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” The book of Revelation brings the grand story of the Bible, and of creation, to a fitting end, by focusing on the second coming of Jesus Christ and the consummation of all things and the final fulfillment of all of God’s promises through Jesus Christ. Many come to this book wanting to know more about future events, but the real heart of the book is Jesus Himself. It is not merely a “revelation of” things to come, but rather it is “The revelation of Jesus Christ!”
